Carpenter claims that she was in his thoughts to play the character however she decided to decline the role. Anne can't remember John Carpenter having contacted her nor offering the role. Agents may have declined the offer for her, but without her knowledge. Glen Larson initially selected her to play the character of Battlestar Galactica in 1978. The script was sent to him in rough form. The character was weak enough for her to accept the role. Glen was later able to write a character for her which starred an extremely strong character named Sheba. The first 25-page script had been read by Sheba and she was immediately in agreement. The show ran for only one episode. The actress co-starred on Joyride with Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
